Several feared dead after a boat capsized in the Ganga river
PATNA: A tragic boat accident on the Ganga river near Umanath Ganga Ghat in Barh subdivision of Patna district has left at least two people dead and five others missing. The boat, carrying roughly 14 passengers, was caught in a fierce gust of wind that caused it to capsize midstream. Eyewitnesses reported that strong winds are believed to have overturned the vessel suddenly. Local residents and nearby boatmen responded swiftly, bravely rushing to the scene and rescuing several passengers before emergency authorities arrived.
