One person is in custody after shots were fired in New York’s Times Square on Thursday, according to the New York Police Department.Video footage showed two people running into the street, appearing to draw weapons and open fire before fleeing the area.The incident occurred shortly before 4 pm (local time) at the intersection of West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue. No injuries were reported.Police said one suspect, who is under the age of 18, was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered. Authorities are continuing to search for other individuals who may have been involved, as cited by CBS News.Police have not said whether the shooting was random or targeted.Multiple NYPD officers responded to the scene, where investigators were seen examining a blue Hyundai.
